The More I Learn About The Bible, The More Amazed I Am.

Atheists read the Bible and find plenty to criticise it.
However it so cleverly written, that there are levels of understanding at so many levels in even the most simple texts.
Many texts have been misunderstood for years until contemporary events have unlocked them.
This is worth more than instant dismissal by atheists.

We have an Internet capable of satisfying all of our enquirers.
Give it a go?

well Daniel 12 4 one of the verses under discussion:
But you, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased. Dan 12 4
and the whole point of that - is the use of allegory and hidden meaning - the commentators say - within the book of Daniel and not particularly within the revealed world
"The words are meant to explain why the visions in the book, though communicated to Daniel, were not made generally known until the time of the persecution. Cf. on Daniel 8:26; and contrast Revelation 22:10."

so there are secrets which are to be revealed
and ergo God keeps secrets - and that is the truth done for. see above
( I like - and the truth will make you free)
I mean Jesus does anyone read what they have written ?
( thx to retrocop who clearly doesnt)
as someone said earlier - is the whole bible, prophecy revealed and ..... prophecy yet to be revealed ?

Not without reason.
//However it so cleverly written, that there are levels of understanding at so many levels in even the most simple texts//
Some examples would be appreciated.

Indeed. Any examples??

Yes, that would be cool.

We do! We have an internet that supplies evidence of Sasquach, alien abduction, flat Earth, Pixies and fairies, the Koran, Vedas, Buddhism, Heavens Gate or whatever else...

Nailit - For somebody who claims to have read the Bible cover to cover, (I don't doubt that you did), it is obvious to me that you missed the fact that almost a third of the Bible is prophecy, and your lack of commentary on this fact leads me to believe that you have hardly comprehended anything you have read.
I think quality of your study, not quantity would be enlightening.

Theland, //God did not cause the Holocaust, men with free will did.//
But you said only a few days ago that it was all part of God’s plan to bring prophecy to fruition. Make your mind up.
As for conceited pride, there’s none more conceited or more proud than those who claim to know the mind and purpose of something for which there is not an iota of verifiable evidence.

Theland, as for prophecy, I have a problem with your inability to explain those that have clearly failed, predominately that predicted by Jesus himself when he promised that the end of times would occur during his disciples’ lifetime. Jesus of all people should have known what he was talking about. No?

No its not.
//your lack of commentary on this fact//
Its not a fact
//leads me to believe that you have hardly comprehended anything you have read//
Unlike some who HAVNT read it then?
//I think quality of your study, not quantity would be enlightening//
It would indeed. Try it sometime without the religious goggles on.
