If you don't believe in God, then you don't believe God created life.
But the secular materialist scientists have found it impossible to create even the simplest life form in the laboratory.
So, do you have an explanation?
The answer is that life is very complex and 'creating' it from scratch using naturally occurring ingredients and processes, although no doubt interesting, is not something that's going to get much funding - I mean why would you bother with that when you have far more efficient methods available? They are getting very close to creating new forms of life, see the link below from a couple of months ago.
However should scientists manage to do what I think you are getting at, will that mean God definitely doesn't exist?
God is a long odds possibility since as an explanation it raises more questions than it answers, and the odds are shrinking all the time as arguments for it are gradually removed as science allows us to understand reality better. But go for the long odds option if you wish, one never knows.
Vulcan - with the greatest of respect, the evidence available to me is also available to you if you search it out.
Thank you for your very civil posts.
Given the billions of years it has been in existence and the trillions of planets, why could the right combination of chemicals and surroundings not have created life by chance, somewhere in the universe?
Theland, //Your silly trip wire games are really boring. //
How is that a wire-trap game? Despite telling everyone else to have an open mind yours remains firmly closed.
I've looked at the 'evidence' too - and found it wanting. How come? Perhaps because I am not selective in my reading or in my understanding. That's called honest appraisal, Theland.
Have to say though, lumping together all scientists as 'secular' and 'materialist' is the sort of lofty inaccurate pompous assumption that gets Christians a bad name.
Andy - the majority of scientists are indeed secular materialists not least because of peer pressure and funding considerations. Not towing the party line can lose a job, career and reputation.
I am nether pompous nor lofty.
