Have you ever tried a Ouija Board - I never have. Some years ago some friends were using one at a party but I refused to get involved. I am not religious but don't want to take any risks with those things.

Some swear that their lives have been ruined by Ouija boards, some scientists say that they work through the ideomotor effect where we move things subconsciously, other say they are a harmless board. I have no idea but would never do one after some of the stories I have heard.

What do you think?

Honestly Theland, nobody has need to belittle your beliefs or through insults at you. You make a great job of looking foolish without any help.
Spirit of the board, can you steer us back to the sunny uplands of the OP and erase all memory of the ranting mod and his hobbyhorse?
^ It was worth a try, anyway.
My wife lost her fiance and four friends after a Ouija board incident when they were in their late teens.

My wife was not involved but her fiance and the other boys were told by the board that all but one of them would die quite soon. Sure enough, one by one they died. The first from a brain haemorrhage, two died in motorcycle accidents, one stepped off a moving bus and into a power pole. The last took his own life.

Don't fool around with Ouija.
I don't think i'll be trying one after Baldrics tale. If a big, strong, handsome and brave man such as Baldric experienced such a chilling experience it kind of tells me i would literally *** my underpants.
I would never use a Ouija board, I don't see the point and I've heard too many scary stories, even on here. But all you who say there is no spirit world make me laugh, you have just had no experience of it that's all, but you think you know it all. As I have stated on here before, I know it exists because of things that have happened both to me and my Mum before she died concerning Dad, and another experience I had some years back concerning a sweet old lady who lived across the road from me. I know I will see my beloved parents again one day and it is all that keeps me going. I don't care if I am ridiculed for this, I know what I am saying is true.

You have no way of knowing if those tragedies were nothing more than terrible coincidences, not linked in any way whatsoever to anything 'supernatural'.
And, beso, you blame that on the board ? Well the media keeps telling us about wars and violence: maybe we should ban news.
"You have no way of knowing if those tragedies were nothing more than terrible coincidences, not linked in any way whatsoever to anything 'supernatural'."

And you have no way of knowing if they were supernatural or not. It goes both ways Andy.
I 100% believe in the paranormal.

My Miss' mum went to a seance. There was a biker there who wanted to contact his brother. The seance woman read his palm and then wrote a letter and told him to open it when he got home and not before. The letter read "you will die on your way home tonight". The man was involved in a motorbike accident and died that night on his way home. The police found the letter in his pocket, but as the accident was clearly an accident there was no further investigation.

I think the other side of the argument could be taken as read to be honest.

My point is, no-one knows if it is coincidence or 'supernatural' - people believe what they wish to believe.

Beso that's terrifying!!!!!
I think there is no smoke without fire.

The spirit world has been referred to throughout time, all through the ages and cultures.

Naomi - did you move out of the haunted house? I would be straight out of there!!

I've had two strange experiences. Our cat died and I saw a ghost version of her a couple of times. Occasionally a strong smell of cat urine would overpower the room and then leave.

The other experience I had was when a relative was very ill I kept finding feathers everywhere, even in my wallet!! I like to think it was someone try to offer me reassurance from the other side.
Did you have a duck feather duvet though?
Naomi forgot to mention, she was the one haunting it.
We used one once. Nothing happened. The glass stayed where it was after every question. It don't work! However, somebody mentioned living with a ghost earlier and my children, now grown up, still believe that this house is haunted. One previous occupant committed suicide when he found out his wife was having an affair with a local bookmaker. At some point, he had scrawled his initials on the side of the garage wall, in clear varnish which had run slightly after he did it. It could only be seen when the sun shone on it, and you were stood in certain a position. This was the "proof" my kids needed for our house to haunted. It aint. We're still here.
To dabble with things you don't understand can attract negative energy, so I say AVOID!
Tim, //did you move out of the haunted house?//

OG, Definitely wasn't me.
