I Have A Friend

That hands out religious tracts in the town centre...
He believes that one day I shall be saved.
He's never explained to me what 'been saved' actually means.
To be fair, he has problems with his schizophrenia but that aside, how can any sane individual think that we need to be saved from an eternal, unimaginably grotesque, torture and then proceed to worship the being that would send us there in the first place?
My friend has mental health issues....just makes me wonder if believers have too!
(Especially if they can hold that world view too)

Theland, I don't think that Nailit was venting spleen. You shouldn't react so badly to someone who has different views from yours. Perhaps you could respond to his question about the motives and character of 'god', without getting in a state about it. Perhaps Nailit has hopes that one day he might enlighten you to the true nature of life; surely that is a laudable aim, even if you disagree.
