Never - // If you are going to adopt certain stances, it is not beholden on Theland - or anyone - to try to convince you of anything. //
I am not suggesting that it is - but Theland opened the thread, and I pointed out that anyone who reads the Bible should be able to find everything in it - and that is not my view, it is Theland's - so I think it reasonable to question him on it.
Similarly, I pointed out, and I am repeating myself again here - that a good honest believer has died a horrible death, and I wonder who fellow believers reconcile that.
I usually get something about 'man's free will' which you will not be surprised to read, does not cut it even slightly for me.
But as I say, anyone is welcome to offer a view - I am an atheist, I have absolutely no issue with the horrors of the world, bad things happen, that's it.
But to anyone who believes in a loving and forgiving God, must ask themselves why this man had to suffer an agonising drawn-out death - and that is the question I am asking.
I am not having a pop, or demeaning anything, I am asking a question.
This I The Answerbank - it's kinda the idea around here.
