It is painful to watch a loved one suffer and die. We naturally grieve such a loss.

It is comforting to know, however, that our Creator, understands our grief. More than that, he longs to use his almighty power to restore life to the dead. Notice the hope conveyed in the words of Job, recorded at Job 14:14-15,says
If a man dies, can he live again?
I will wait all the days of my compulsory service
Until my relief comes.
15 You will call, and I will answer you.
You will long for the work of your hands.

// No appeasing religious nut jobs..//
oh come on Nailie - we are relatively sane compared to some of the stuff you read on AB !
Hardly.... :-)
Someone offer me PROOF that we live after death?
Ive read many accounts of NDE'S etc.
(Amazingly by people that are still very much alive)
Mad as toast we are, don't know how I get through the live long day.
Nobody know. We'll find out when we make that final journey.
And I still dont understand WHY we die. ONLY
To live again.
//Someone offer me PROOF that we live after death?//

Absolutely impossible. People can provide spoken or written accounts, but none of them can be proven.

I'm a little confused though. Goodlife is quoting the bible, but isn't reincarnation.more a Buddhist belief?

This is Groundhog Day.

Goodlife posts a cut-and-paste from the bible and never returns, people argue for or against and fail to convince each other that they are right.

The thread winds down, and he does it again another day …

Come on folks, it's too hot, save your energy for something useful ...
Mozz - // I'm a little confused though. Goodlife is quoting the bible, but isn't reincarnation.more a Buddhist belief? //

It is, but he's talking about heaven.

I'm just saving you the trouble of waiting for him to reply to you, you'll wait a very long time ...
When you are dead .. you wont know that you are dead.
It is only those around you that will feel the pain ..

It is exactly the same when you are stupid ?
Yes, nailit... death is absolute. You are or you aren't. You can be "dying" but you are alive. There is no such thing as NDE.
Thanls Andy, then I suspect s/he's talking rectally.

It's his belief, and he has followed this same pattern for years now - cut and paste a bible quote, leave it there, never come back, people argue, it winds down …

Like I said - Groundhog Day - but not as funny!!
Agreed. Not even Bill Murray could save this post.
While I'm not surprised goodlife won't respond... I am surprised (and pleased) that there isn't a single other ABer who believes in life after death, and with the confidence to say so. Maybe we are actually progressing.
Give 'em time pix ...
The answer to the OP is obviously a firm “No”, but just a point of order, given the JW cult was founded in 1870, and only 144,000 of them will go to heaven (I assume he’s talking about heaven), I’d’ve thought that number has already been reached by now.
That's a lot of knocking on Heavens door, Deskdiary. :-)
You pretentious prig pixie, just because YOU (and any other abers, according to you) don't believe in life after death doesn't mean you are right! Pretentious indeed.
