Mamya - // “I do not fear death. I had been dead for billions and billions of years before I was born, and had not suffered the slightest inconvenience from it.”
― Mark Twain //
I find that quote a bit skewed -
Obviously before you (that's the generic 'you') were here, no-one, including you, knows anything about you.
But after a lifetime, you have made some impact on the world you have lived in.
You may, as Mr Twain has, leave a body of work that means you are remembered long after your death, but at the very least, you will have impacted on the lives of family if you have one, and friends and acquaintances, so there is a gap when you go that was not present before you got here, because you have filled a space in the scheme of things that didn't exist before you did.
