I mran, if I'm wrong I'll apologise accordingly, but why else would "God is good" be scary, unless it's being linked with something horrible, such as the cry of an Islamic fanatic?

GOD IS GOOD.
What an inflammatory statement.

I, like you, have known bereavement, soul tearing episodes affecting those I love, reducing me to tears, and heart wrenching news that left me totally messed up and incapable of coping in any meaningful way.
How do we cope? I couldnt! Bereavement and the run up to it left me in a state of total despair.
Was my situation any worse than yours?
Probably not. But it was bad for me, and I know that there are always people in a far worse situation than mine.
I am sympathetic to those who have to go through the trials and tribulations of illness, pain and the resultant emotional turmoil that leaves us questioning everything about life, God, fairness, and either leaves us in despair or raging against whatever God is the prevailing cultural norm, of bibles, churches, cathedrals, and enrobed princes of the church, who often pontificate in forms that are alien to our lived experiences.
No, GOD IS GOOD, when you think about it, is a statement totally meaningless to any atheist, no matter how despairing that particular atheist is experiencing life and its horrid problems.
GOD IS GOOD is a statement that although meaningless to atheists, should concern believers, and needs attention.
Should atheists take offence at this?
Let me know.

When you're in a coma and like a dream you hear a doctor telling you're parents that they don't think you're going to pull through, and there is nothing you can do but lie there and think they cann't be talking about me.I didn't think so at the the time but when I was recovering and remembered about it believe me THAT was scary,
//Mozz, I think you’re way off track with your Islamophobia slant. You seem to look for racism in everything - and even if it isn’t there you find it.//
Sadly, for many on AB, I don't have to look very hard.
Theland has shown his Islamophobia many times in the past on AB. Why would this be any different? I wasn't the only one to think this.
