//Muslims give half the worth of a man to a woman//
Would you like me to give you a half a dozen Bible bible verses where jews were given the same instructions?
No defence from me to treat women different just because of their gender, bit I am open to the suggestion that men and women have different but equal roles to play.
Bit of course this has to be unpicked from a variety of traditional and cultural overlays.
What the organised religions do differs from one to the other.
My own personal view, not based on any church, is that God looks at the heart, not the gender of the body in which it resides.n
Theland, And there you go again ... straight into the personal attacks as usual.
You disapprove of women priests...you've told us in the past...so where does that leave your //God looks at the heart, not the gender of the body in which it resides//?
I'm not attacking you personally.
If I to!d you in the past I disagreed with women priests, I don't remember but I don't doubt your word.
What do I think right now, today?
Answers as above.
If after prayerfully considering the question some go along with women priests, then so be it.
The scriptures describe differing roles for both genders.
Not superior roles for one but roles supportive of each other.
Prayerfully, not said to impress, as why would I want to impress you or anybody else?
I couldn't care less what you or anybody else thinks of me, I am not answerable to you, the mods, or Answerbank generally.
So if you prefer, I could say, ''thoughtfully,'' but I won't.
Simple yes or no?
Hmmm. Convince me. What do you think?
