I have a vague memory of Biblical quotes wherein Jehovah exhorts his chosen people to smite the Midianites and to destroy them and their cattle and their children and to spare only the women who please them so that they may do with them as they see fit.
I hope my memory is playing me false. Perhaps someone with more Biblical knowledge can put me right?

According to the bible only Noah and family were saved so we are all descendants of this one family. If others survived than the flood was not successful in wiping out all sinners. if the bible is true then we are all Gods people and in your eyes it's acceptable for God to have his favourites and destroy the others. Ive spent my life looking into (searching?) such stuff.

My deconversion from evangelical christianity wasnt an event. It was a process.
And part of that process was recognising that Buddhism taught most of jesus's teachings 100's of years before jesus.
I then realised that there was nothing new in the new testament.

And nothing new in Buddhism either Khandro.

It was all plagerism from older beleifs?
