Seriously, what you got to offer me?
Or is it a case of what I can avoid!

I'm deadly (excuse the pun) serious. But what can your belief system/religion/spiritual tradition/ offer me except a free pass out of hell?

An eternity of Hallelujah's?
For Eternity????

You get it, Theland? Sick.
Yes I get it. How is that sick?
Nailit, and me, are not the first and certainly won't be the last to worry about departed loved ones.? So sgain, how is that sick?
Nailit isn't worrying about departed loved ones. He's highlighting your defense of the morally indefensible. Defending the morally indefensible is sick.
How is it morally indefensible?
For the atheist who doesn't believe in God it is surely not an issue anyway?
For a believer in God, my advice is learn about Him.
Remember, I don't make the rules, so if you or anybody else feels the need to rage against God, do so in prayer and ask for guidance.
//How is it morally indefensible?//

Condoning punishments that condemn people to eternal doom is morally indefensible. How sad that I have to explain to you what a decent and compassionate moral code is because your God doesn’t teach it.

//For a believer in God, my advice is learn about Him.//

The reason I’m not a believer is because I have learnt about him - far more than you can ever hope to.

//Remember, I don't make the rules, so if you or anybody else feels the need to rage against God, do so in prayer and ask for guidance.//

Don’t be silly. I don't rage against God. I challenge people like you who spread dangerous superstitious piffle that has the potential to cause harm to the easily-influenced and the vulnerable.
You dodge the issue yet again.
You call it superstition and piffle, yet you are totally stumped trying to comprehend how the prophecies in the bible are so accurate and easily checked.
Superstitious piffle?
Far far from it, but you as an unbeliever don't know when to give up.
You don't answer because you can't answer without acknowledging God.
I've not dodged the issue of prophecy, Theland - ever - in fact I've just posted on the other thread where you're rambling on about it - but speaking of dodging issues, let's talk about the morals and compassion I mentioned earlier because that's one you've definitely dodged.
Yes let's.
Ask away.
I'm game, and ready and willing to learn from you and anybody else who cares to join in.
I've nothing to ask but I would like a response to my post at 11.42 - you know - the one your dodged.
Without objective absolutes you have no authority for any moral code.
Look to your Guru Dawkins to learn that.
As a thinking human being I need no objective absolute to teach me that condoning monstrous actions is wrong. Your moral code leaves much to be desired.

Ive just re-read the last few pages of this thread.
The only conclusion that I can come to are that the religious evangelicals are either
1) Heartless and/or Psycopathic
2) Totally insane

//I thinks deep down you believe in God.
I can understand your concern regarding unbelieving relatives and friends whom you love.
I get it.
I really do//

No you dont. Unless you are either insane or psychopathic.

I no longer believe in God, (At least not the God of the Bible) but no matter.

Where are my loved ones right now?
Dont say that you dont know. Im asking you, according to your Holy, Perfect, God-Given and inspired Bible, where are my parents right now?
I'll tell you- because you refuse to acknowledge your own scriptures that you love so much-THEY are burning in hell..

And then YOU threaten me with the same unless I believe as you do.

So AGAIN,,, What have you to offer me?
An eternity of Amens & Hallelujahs.
Or an eternity of regret, torture, thirst and fire?

And as naomi has pointed out,
Your moral code leaves much to be desired.
Even if my own son turned out to be a serial killer, Id still love him.
As heinous as his crimes might be, I wouldnt desert him.
Humans have a much greater capacity for love than the God of the Bible. A God that demands that You stone your own kids to death for the ''sin'' of been rebellious.
Show me one teen that hasnt been rebellious at some point...its a natural part of growing up and spreading ones wings.
And your point is what?
You don't believe in God?
You do believe in God, but you are raging with anger against Him?
nailit.//Even if my own son turned out to be a serial killer, Id still love him.//

Really?
