The bible explains Gods dealings with the Jews from their father Abraham right up to the present day.
Whether they like it or not that are Gods witness to the world.
Searching the scriptures reveals the truth or falsity of the prophecies concerning the Jews.
This is something lost on the mainstream churches.
If you doubt this will you check the evidence for yourself?

Regarding the daily sacrifice, that is part of Daniels prophecy and occurred long after it was written.
I am beginning an in depth study of Daniel over the coming weeks.
The criticisms will be thoroughly investigated.
Question Author
One of the main attacks on the book of Daniel comes from critics who claim Daniel was written far later than the sixth century BC.
But their claim is based on the Masoretic texts that were written at a time to partially justify this assertion.
But, Jesus, Paul and others quoted the Prophets, but not from the Masoretic texts, but from the much earlier Greek Septuagint which is accurately dated to around 285BC to 270BC successfully refuting the claims of the critics.
The book of Daniel stands as a rock in the face of atheistic attacks from unbelieving academics.
Rocks in your head, theland.
Question Author
Your post does not surprise.
I don’t doubt it. Even you must have questioned the absurdity of what you write - and if you haven’t you ought to.
If the Greek Septuagint were accurately dated to around 285 BC to 270 BC, how does that support the claim that Daniel was written in the sixth century BC?
Question Author
The Septuagint was obviously copied from Daniels original writings.
The content describes events later than when the Septuagint itself was written.
Question Author
Jesus was also a prophet.
Regarding the end times He did not give us dates but told us to recognise the seasons using the fig tree as an example.
Matthew ch24 deals with this.
Look at our world today, bristling with nuclear weapons and every conceivable type of lesser but advanced weaponry.
PestilenceS, riots the world over, wars and rumours of wars, nations rising against nation, (ethnos against ethnos - ethnicity), deceipt everywhere, especially in the churches, Israel surrounded by enemies, global warming causing floods, droughts and wild fires, water shortages in various places from Iran to California, mass migrations to Europe and the USA, earthquakes, global economic collapse gathering pace, governments perplexed as what to do, the list goes on.
Jesus describes these things as, ''The beginning of sorrows.''
He is correct. Things will only get worse and mankind has no answers.
The world has never before faced so many crises all at once.
Our time here is running out.
"The world has never before faced so many crises all at once."

What about these
events in the first three decades of the last century (in no particular order and with figures showing highest estimates of deaths)?

World War One 20+ million
Spanish Flu 100 million
Troubles in Palestine,
Wall Street Crash
Early Twentieth Century Warming (ETWC)
American Dust Bowls
Major earthquakes 600,000
Rise of Nazi Party
Armenian Genocide 1.7 million
Assyrian Genocide 300,000
Great Famine of Mount Lebanon 200,000
Greek Genocide 750,000
Pogroms in Russia 250,000
Kurdish rebellions 350,000
I'm not going to C and P what Theland has written at 05:37 but doesn't he just love being the chief doomsayer, he's enjoying every minute. The only problem with being said doomsayer is there's nobody left at the end to say, "I told you so", to.
It's odd how any number of folk have claimed momentous events will happen on a specific date, yet when it comes to folk in the Bible (including Jesus who you'd think had more than a wee bit inside information) there's nothing of the sort.
dont c/p for chrissakes - the rabid anti-c/p-ers will get you

This is something lost on the mainstream churches.
yeah what is lost on me is that jews pretty well obviously have to be mentioned in the OT - or else they wouldnt make it the OT would they?
yeah nuffink about kempton park at 15 30
Theland relishes misery.
Question Author
Corby @ 10:57
Yes the twentieth century was a disaster for the world, but was a foretaste of what is in store for the future.
The crucial date in prophecy is 1948, the birth of the new state of Israel and the invention of nuclear weapons in 1945.
The world today is a much more dangerous place than the twentieth century.
To deny this is simply to bury your head in the sand.

No, I do not relish misery and doom, but I am a realist and don't wear rose tinted spectacles.
Theland, Where ‘in prophecy’ do those two dates appear?
Question Author
The dates do not appear anywhere, but the numbers in Daniel point to 1948.
How? And where does 1945 come into it?
It's more dangerous now than during the Cuban missile crisis when the world was on the verge of nuclear warfare?
Question Author
Interesting fulfilled prophecies.
