I think most, if not all, theists have managed to confuse themselves. They talk about how important their faith is and completely ignore the fact that if there was evidence of their God they wouldn't need faith.
AH : All this bluster doesn't really amount to much, like all atheists there is always the redolence of insecurity in your attempts at a mock-bravado performance, but it underlies I feel, a deep-down feeling of bewilderment (now there's a good 17th century word meaning 'adrift in pathless places')
Why don't you just say; 'There probably is no God', & leave it at that?
Khandro, I take exception to your reference to ‘all atheists’. Unlike many, I offer a considered opinion based on years of study. Those who are ill informed but pronounce nonetheless give atheism a bad reputation. Please try to differentiate.
