If YOUR holy book told you to kill people,
Would you?
Bet you wouldnt?
So why defend a book that does?
Probably because you havnt read it......

Guns don't kill people, readers of Bibles and Qurans do.

//Anne might have been referring to your reluctance to be vaccinated, which might stem from you reading unsubstantiated 'books' (i.e. online stuff)//
And I was referring to the very real verses in so called 'Holy books' that reference the killing of unbelievers by the sword.
Cant quiet see the connection there atheist, between a persons choice...and hesitancy... to accept a vaccine that they have very real concerns about and the God Gang killing all and sundry because they have a different belief!

That's usually my point, nailit... nobody sane would kill, because of a book.
It's pointless to either defend, or attack, an inanimate book, when it's people who are at fault. The problem is, it almost gives an attempt at excuse "their religion says so".
But as you say, that doesn't usually work... it's the underlying reasons we need, so we can work out what is best to do.
