People are preoccupied with caring for their family, earning a living, traveling, or other personal interests because they know of no other meaning to life.

Albert Einstein once said: “The man who regards his life as meaningless is not merely unhappy but hardly fit for life.” In line with such thinking, some seek to put meaning in their life by pursuing the arts, scientific research, or humanitarian efforts to curb suffering. Ecclesiastes 12:13.

I'm capable of creating my own disasters without having the assistance of an antiquated book written by would be prophets thank you
\\ People are preoccupied with caring for their family, earning a living, traveling, or other personal interests because they know of no other meaning to life.//

Linking this statement to an Einstein quotation about a meaningless life, suggests the statement is wrong. Is this what you believe, that caring for a family is meaningless?
Isn't caring for people one of the foundation stones of the Christian faith?
alleluia !
While some put meaning into their lives by dedicating it to a fictional character. :-/
vulcan; The quote (if in fact Albert ever said it) is about a man who REGARDS his life as meaningless.

Nobody has said caring for a family, or anybody else, is meaningless, & yes, caring for others is a cornerstone of all religions, not only Christianity.
Not understanding what point, if any, you are making or what question, if any, you are asking?
Goodlife sticks random question marks into his title lines but he never really asks questions. He comes here to preach - that's all.

His recommended reading, Ecclesiastes 12:13.

//Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.//

And there you have it.

What a load of absolute claptrap from Goodlife.
Khandro, apparently Einstein did say this with a few extra words that goodlife omitted but that's beside the point. It was the sentence that goodlife wrote after " In line with such thinking, some seek to put meaning in their life by pursuing the arts etc" which suggested to me that he thought pursuing the arts etc was more important than caring for people.
By the way, I consider this Einstein quote much more relevant to modern day living.
“Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe.”

In this day and age, fearing and obeying God is, at best, considered impractical.
But the book of Ecclesiastes written some 3,000 years ago by King Solomon, describes the futility of human endeavors that ignore God’s purpose.
Go on then....what is God's purpose?
Told you he was preaching.
'That whereof we cannot speak, thereof we must remain silent'
and Vulcan another Wittgenstein quote (they don't half annoy naomi :0)
‘If people never did anything stupid, nothing intelligent would ever get done’.

Mat 24:14 And this good news of the Kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations,+ and then the end will come.

The time is coming when all of earth’s inhabitants will face an event that will mean either life or death, how many sign do you need to see?.

//The time is coming when all of earth’s inhabitants will face an event that will mean either life or death//

Hurrah! Cause for celebration eh, Goodlife?
'.....face an event that will mean either life or death'

What a choice!
Everyone wants to rule our mind...Go away!
Peace on you...
