I don't think it's a 'silly argument' as Mohammed was of a similar era - well a bit earlier than the two I mentioned, turn of the 6th to 7th Century  for the Prophet wasn't it? However, lowering the age in Iraq is crass - I thought the Islamic principle was at the age of puberty and no bonking or railing outside marriage.
