Did anyone have them knocking on your door's on Christmas Day? We did. They descended in our area about 11am. Ok ,they dont celebrate Christmas but why do they feel the need to force their belief's on other's. If there's any JW's out there please tell my what gives you lot the right to invade our homes on Christmas Day?.

I have no objection to them doing whatever they feel the need to do to ensure they will secure themselves a place in 'Heaven' but I hate it when they try to convert all and sundry. If I want converting - I'm more than capable of doing it myself!!

Their religion is a cult, a perversion of Christianity. They believe that Jesus Christ was a created being, an archangel, not the Son of God.
Like all cults, their authority rests on an, "AND," that is, the Bible AND the writings of their founder, Russell.
They believe that their "Good Works," (knocking on doors) will earn them brownie points with God, and pay off their bill in part for sin.
Even if you don't subscribe to Christianity, don't mistake these people for Christians. They are not.

if you believe your religion is right, you will naturally want to persuade others to follow it too, for their own salvation. I can only say I get quite a few of them at my door (not Christmas Day, though) and I always tell them very politely I'm not interested, and they always accept it graciously and wish me a pleasant day. I have no complaint about any of them, and I have never felt they are trying to ram anything down my throat. The ones who do that are stockbrokers cold-calling me by phone, and they do annoy me. (But they don't call on Dec 25 either.)
curly-milf, I think the Dalai Lama has got it wrong!!
Surely religion does not have a purpose as such, it is a belief!! you either believe or you dont!!
Nothing against the Dalai Lama, he is a good guy, who is a Budhist and Budhism is not a religion it is a philsophy!!
"The whole purpose of "Budism"
is to facilitate love and compassion, patience,
tolerance, humility, forgiveness"

Do something that makes them think or something that they don't usually hear. They probably know how to deal with being told to **** off.
I always see them in town.
Next time I see them and they stop me I might say something like.. "I am God. Listen son, I am telling you that you do not need to stop strangers and you do not need to knock on peoples doors. You have good intentions but ultimately people will think for themselves. Enjoy your life"

Thank's all for your replies. So according to JW's Theland,Jesus was an archangel? Well thats their belief but they should'nt go bothering people eh? jno you must have the most polite JW's..lol. The ones we get always have either a liitle old lady in tow or a child and are so stubborn. One actually put his foot in the doorway once! Im sure they must know they're annoying people by knocking on their doors on Xmas Day. I think I'll get a Great Dane or an Alsation..lol.
My boyfriends mother is a Jehova Witness and the first time I met her she asked me if I believe in God and I said yes I'm a Christian. My boyfriend told me this might happen. She started to tell me how my beliefs were wrong and how she would show me the right path. So I did what my bf told me to. I told her that I wasn't interested in talking about religion and that I believe what I believe and it fine with me that she does the same and I feel this is a topic to stay away from. Well this Christmas we went over a week before and I was talking and telling everyone about the beuatiful light right down the streets and she started to btich about the light and Christmas and said how she wishes a wind would blow all the lights away. I can't stand the women. She wouldn't even go to here family's house to visit on Christmas. One day when my bf told me she goes to the Kingom Hall I thought it was called The Kingdom to Hlel! hahaha
