Just a couple of nine inch nails through your wrist and feet, a sphere in the side and a halo of thorns. Not to mention three days out in the open air suspended as so which meant a death by slow suffocation as far as I'm aware.
All after a short hike to get there.
Dunno what all the fuss was about.
(Now the day Thomas broke down and Gordon had to come help him out, that was torture).

Yeah, I know what you're getting at, I was in the Holyland two years ago and visited the Via Dolorosa starting where He was flogged to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, and I wouldn't enjoy carrying a 110lb crossbeam up a great big fcuk off hill with the Middle East sun burning bare flesh after the skin had been stipped off my back, then have iron nails driven into my wrists and feet, then as if that wasn't enough have my legs broken and given vinegar to drink when complaining about being thirsty
'My God, my God, why have you forsaken me ?'
Well, if at that moment God HAD actually disappeared to leave Jesus to get on with it alone for a time, what you have is the weight of all the rottenness of all time suddenly landing on a single pair of shoulders (over and above hanging on a cross etc) without a single atom of solace or goodness. That is the most exquisitely massive pain imaginable, infact it exceeds human imagination.
It is probably a load of cack, but what if it isn't ?

Surely if it is a load of cack then so would the idea of God be and in that case Jesus could never have felt the full weight of all that time?
Or
If not cack then God never did forsake him and he still didn't feel that weight because he wasn't alone? However, he was in a great deal of pain so I'm not suprised he thought he might be.
Not really sure where I'm going with those thoughts. Just thinking aloud (well pixelly speaking).
