Astrology is the study of celestial mechanics. Since we know that planetary bodies move around an orbit through years and years of study, and we now know that gravity plays a big part, then yes.
If you mean whether there is any scientific evidence for prophecies and fortune telling, then how would you propose science could back this up?

prophecies? perhaps by mastering science/philosophy of mind and language in their essence but is this possible given that they both are in a continuous flux and humanity has to work within the confines and limitations? and therefore can never remain ultimately impartial?

Please don't confuse astrology and astronomy! They may once have been the same, but they're certainly not now.
Astrology is the study of the movement of celestial bodies in the belief that they somehow influence Earthly affairs. It's utter bunkum, and there's considerable weight of scientific evidence to explain exactly why (but briefly, if the planets and their alignments did really affect some sort of force upon the Earth, it would have to be either gravitational or electromagnetic, and be measurable on large groups of people over a period of time.
