I would make enquiries at the church you hope to have the service. They will be used to such questions so I wouldn�t worry too much about asking.
Its just that some Vicars may permit them as a 3rd GP, providing you already have two who are CoE, another Vicar might say you only need one CofE, and your Jewish friend would be welcomed. Another very strict Vicar might say it is just not permissible according to the rule book��

There need to be at least two and preferably three sponsors and they are chosen by the candidates for baptism themselves. Like Godparents they need to be baptised and normally also confirmed.�
