Firstly.... I would like to ask whether there are any of us out there who believe in ghosts and the paranormal?

Secondly......what experiences have you had of this?

Thirdly..........having an experience with a 'ghost' , does this not porve the existence of some sort of afterlife? being trapped in another realm etc etc

Everton, you didn't answer my question, but never mind. In answer to yours, I don't know.
If you say what you saw was a ghost, then that's fine by me, if it's dressed in top hat and tails, great, but (for me) I believe that the soul/spirit survives the body but cannot be seen, it can be felt, it can touch things because it possesses energy, but seen?
Not for me, if it's natural for the soul to survive the body then it is entirely impossible, illogical and irrational to suggest that inanimate objects can survive the owner's death too.
In matters such as this, you only ever need to prove things to your own satisfaction.
So you don't believe that Jesus saw and spoke to a ghost?
I still don't see how inanimate objects can exist in a spirit realm, unless you're a follower of Shinto.
I don't see how Jesus (who you don't believe in) fits into the equation of your burdens of proof, unless seeing is believing and personal experience counts?
M.O.T.D and then bed, toodles...
How on earth(?) did you go from the possibility of Jesus seeing a ghost to the possibility of inanimate objects existing in a spirit realm? Are you going to answer my question or not?

I don't know what MOTD means.

Good evening Wiz. This is better than a bedtime story. You couldn't make it up. :o)

Oh, I see. Thanks Wiz. I never know what all those funny initials mean.
I stayed in a hotel once, went back to the room for a wee, when I came out a guy dressed in white (nothing floaty, just tunic and trousers) came out of another room. There had been talk at the bar that the chef was up to no good with one of the housemaids so I assumed it was him. He just disappeared, found out later the hotel was built on the site of a mental institution and was haunted by a former inmate, who knows?
I think the old saying "seeing is believing" applies in such situation as seeing a ghost.

It's understandable one would surely be sceptical unless they've actually seen such entity.

My sister used to see ghost / people when she was a child. Every time she saw one, which was frequent, she's say to my Mum or grandmother "the lady is watching me, Mama! look, the lady is scaring me!"

I don't know if she still 'sees' people now.

My olde house is known round here to be haunted....lots too frightened to come near. Tradesmen who've worked on it claim to have seen ghosts. One was beaming the ceiling but ran out on the job as he said someone was flicking lit matches at him. I checked & there were dead matches everywhere.

A spiritualist said she could see 'George, a farmer in long brown overall' who liked sharing the house with me. A friend complained George returned with her after her visit and that he wouldn't let her out of her car - would I come & collect him? 'course I laughed & refused......they sold up due to George. When I visited their new house she pleaded with me to take him back, jokingly I told George to get into my car & came home - my friend has peace & George guards me.....I feel safe here.
I sometimes smell male cologne, and no one is ever around or uses cologne those times I've gotten that scent.

Hey Wiz! How you keeping? Haven't seen Theland around AB in a while. Does he still come on?

Thanks Wiz! You stay well. x

Good morning all, your theory is feasible Wiz, and no doubt accounts for many reported ghostly sightings, but it doesn't explain other phenomena such as poltergeist activity.

I used to live in a 'haunted' house too, Tamborine.
