ancient books of blind faith are fiction,

written in a time of greater illiteracy they cannot possibly have any accuracy,

many times and i am not alone, i have read an article in a newspaper reporting something about which i have a deal of knowledge and invariably there are factual errors and that is today with instant communication,

even now tell a story to someone and 5 stages down the line the story will be greatly different, so stuff passed by word of mouth and then scratched on a tablet by the bloke who could write...... have no credence,

they are stories and by all means enjoy the tale, but dont live your life hanging on every word.......... consider intelligence as an option

I don't even think most religions are good stories, they are just stories.

The Bible myths are not even good stories. Good stories need to make sense by at least being plausible with continuity that avoids impossible sequences of events.

If you take, say, the parable of the Good Samaritan, how do you think it might have been corrupted by word of mouth and the ancient technology of writing?

Was ‘the good samaritan’ the one where a guy pretends to have been robbed and when someone stops to help him his accomplices who have been hiding nearby then rob the helper? The moral being ‘be careful who you help because you may later regret it’
