I have always wondered how my mail server knows what is spam or not.
Obviously, the ones that I flag up as spam it knows about but what about all the new ones that I receive, sometime 100's a day ! How does it decide if they are spam or not ?
I still have to check my spam folder, as occasionally a genuine email goes in there by mistake.
And if you manage to read all of that before bed time, there's more to read that goes deep into some of the 'Naive Bayes' formulae employed in Spam filtering which may help to put you to sleep!
mikey every time you get what you realize is spam, block it. A ball etch for a while but you will save time and energy in the long term. Stop giving you email to all and sundry online, don't open the obvious ones just add them to your blocked list. If need be bin your email address, and register a new one for family, friends, work and of course AB. Have been there. My email is now guarded from anyone or organisation that I will not be sorry never to hear from again.
