A Scam??

Just pulled down the drop down( is that what it's called?) for latest emails etc, and I see for gmail/ hotmail...

warn!ng!!!!...hey there,(my name)!!!!...your life in danger!!!

...repeated twice...no indication of sender as would normally be visable .
Now, I've not looked at my hotmail account, but seeing that is just a teeny,tiny bit disconcerting.
Anybody else get one like this?
Now, looking in my email I also see visible are the letters...
R E A D C A R E F U L L Y M Y M E S S A G E I N T H E P I C T U R E...Each in individual blue or black squares. Why hasn't this gone to spam?
I know I'm being silly here, but it's unnerved me a bit. No...I've not opened any of them.
