Or is this object pointless

Just seen an advert for a motion sensor handwash. They said with a normal handwash other people press the top leaving germs behind. But hang on dont you press the top get these germs from other people then apply gel and wash your hands of any germs anyway? Major OCD if you are tempted with one of them.

I understand not washing hands in public toilets with twisty taps because you wash hands then turn tap off. But this object is stupid.

Just saw that ad on my daughter's TV 4get! My son-in-law made us laugh, as he said "What would happen if the cats kept brushing past it?". Ha,ha, ha!
