Someone is using my Email address

I recently got a email from a american online store saying someone had made a purchase on there store, addressed to someone else in America, I managed to track the item down and thankfully they are only using my email address and not my bank account,,

I got another email today saying there item had been shipped, I clicked on it to make sure it wasnt a fake but it was genuie

how can I stop this person using my email address

It was fake, just delete it as it is spam. They are hoping you will click on the link they provide and download their virus to your computer.
