i keep getting emails from myself, meaning that emails are appearing in my spam box with the sender usng my email address and as i know that havent sent them to myself i just delete them as spam so how can this be happening, only thing i can think of is that someone is using a disposable email address or is there another way i dont know about? Also i got an email from a friend who couldnt understand the email i sent him, so i read it and it was supposed to be me explaining about my recent purchase of an apple computer, this email had gone to all the contacts i have in my address book but dont know how someone else had got the information, any help would be appreciated.

Likely cause is that your password isn't very good, and someone (or some software) has guessed it.
Change your password for one at least 8 characters with a mixture of upper/lower case and numbers.
It sounds like someone's spamming your email address - it happens quite often - I get emails from myself. Who is your email service provider? Those who understand these things may be able to give you advice about what to do, but in the meantime you can try to let all your contacts know what has happened. If you can do that then they can be alert to not opening emails from you until this is sorted out.
This happened to me... Chukkie advised changing password.. and it's been fine since.. thank the lord as it had sent Viagra information to my Uncle!! not a good look!! Thankfully my Uncle is broad-minded!!
did your uncle take them up on their offers though ? :)
I had this happen before - I just emailed all my contacts explaining it wasn't from me and changed my password to something much stronger (try mixing numbers and both upper and lower case letters) and it's never been a problem again.
I've had lots of messages today from my e mail address! I've changed my password, but now talktalk say in their instructions that I need to alter my router and e mail setting, no idea how?? and now I can't log in to my e mail with the new or the old password!...................Can anyone help please?................TIA
