Not long to kick off now. Are you ready? A good win would send a message today. We have Belgium to play on Thursday and I note that Lukaku is out and Hazard is, with others, carrying a knock. Don't like to wish injuries on any team but I suppose we can take advantage of them gratefully. I have had a little punt on Kane first scorer and 3-0 & 4-0. With the same scorelines and Sterling scoring first. He owes us a goal. Notice that the Cricket is going well and hoping that Lewis can prevail later making it a good weekend for all England fans. :))The beer is cold and the sun is hot as well.

Think Southgate has a bit of a conundrum, now. Does he make wholesale changes for the 3rd game to rest several players, or does he pick roughly the same starting 11 to maintain their confidence?
They can play a bit when they try then.

Played very well against Belgium first half Geezer.

Think he stays will a settled starting 11 Ken. Just like Ramsey and Venables used to.
Mrs volty asked "what time did the game kick off"?
I said "every 13 mins"
I wish I'd had a mad punt on this game!
Jim Holden - Sunday Express - writes a piece this morning saying that, with some of the strange results so far, there is "a possibility of an incredible contrast between the two halves of the knockout phase." There could be; Brazil, Germany, Argentina, Germany, Spain, France and Russia. While the other half could contain; Croatia, Mexico, Switzerland, Denmark Uruguay and Ronaldo, er, i mean Portugal. Lose v Belgium and, in all likelihood, we would be in that second group. Of course, it's all hypothetical at the moment, but by the time we play Denmark, things will be a lot clearer and that may well make Southgate's mind up for him.
Don't know why i mentioned Germany twice, there. They're not that good :-/
I'm disappointed we've conceded a goal. I know it's still a good score for us, but I was hoping for a clean score.

England's footballers scoring more than the cricketers is a new one. Just watched the start of the Grand Prix. Vettel mucks up and two Frenchmen out before half a lap. Shame. :))
I’m not sure - England winning 6-1 aside - there have been too many strange results compared with other World Cups. African football has gone backwards it seems.
But Germany start badly and - deservedly this time - muddle through. Brazil are dull as usual despite the ridiculous hype. And so on
Very well done England tho. Well deserved
Switch to Queens with Serbs & Croats at war ;)

Refreshing to see an England side win a fixture like this with no difficulties (the quiet second half aside, which is understandable as there was no need to chase anything), and in some style too!

Not sure if it's a sign of great things to come, but hard not to feel optimistic really.
Are Crickeers afraid of sunlight.. or a bit of rain?

If that doesn't round off a great day I don't know what could. After a disastrous start to their innings England scrape home by the skin of their teeth to win the ODI series 5-0 and give England Vs the rest of the World a 3-0 win on the day.
I confess to being rather surprised that England did not pull their usual stunt of crashing out to a banana republic.
And Cilic beat Djokovic. Even more perfect :)
Of course they beat Panama, now let's see them beat the big boys !
