Both Iniesta (Spain) and Ronaldo (Portugal) to assist in a goal being scored. £5 gets me £70. Gives me added interest in watching, too :-)

That looks a cracking bet,Ken,good luck.
Typical! I'm never around when the bookie's drunk. :-)
That is value at 13/1 or 14/1 Ken. I have already decided to keep out of the market until the knockout stage, apart from the England matches.
Lol@ Douglas.
Good start Ken,Iniesta has come up trumps.
Think your punt has come up there Ken.

Nah, Togo. Silva assisted with Portugal's goal. Ronaldo was too busy combing his hair :-(

Tonight's added interest comes in the shape of the following bet;

Luca Modric (Croatia) and Gonzalo Higuain (Argentina) both to score anytime.

@ almost 9/1, my fiver could net me £49.87.

Surely one major shock per day is enough. Isn't it? Splitting my fiver tonight, on;

£2 win; Brazil 2-0 @ 15/2 - for £17
£2 win; Switzerland 2-0 - for £14
£1 double @ 58.5/1 - for £59.50

Total possible return; £90.50

Too many late goals so far, so cashed out for £15.17

My last WC acca of 2018 - won't be enough games left after this round;

France to qualify
Uruguay double chance
Diego Costa anytime
BTTS & Croatia
Brazil win
Romelu Lukaku anytime
Sweden double chance
England to qualify

Pays approx 144/1
Question Author
Griezmann (France) FGS @ 9/2 - win or lose, qualify for a £5 free bet.
Question Author
Thought my chance had come and gone when he hit the bar with the free kick -shortly before scoring from the spot :-)

Investing some of the profit on;

Uruguay 2-0 @ 12/1
Ken - if you don't mind my asking, are you up, down or breaking even so far? I don't understand betting at all & find it next to impossible to follow your progress :-(

Oh, & - is BTTS "both teams to score"?
Question Author
I would probably have been just about ahead, L-I-K, were it not for a maximum bet on Harry Kane @ 3/1 to score in the first half v Panama, the other night. Which obviously means that i am well ahead - for now:-) That one bet aside, i have mostly been staking £5.

Yes, BTTS means 'both teams to score'. It's a way of enhancing the odds for a straight win. If you'd gone for just a win on Uruguay, you would have got around 2/1 but by placing BTTS & Uruguay, you would have got around 4/1. Which i should have done instead of the 2-0. Then again, we were all born with 20/20 hindsight.
Cheers Ken, much appreciated & I hope the pot keeps growing :-)

20/20 hindsight eh? What are the odds - evens? ;-)

To be honest, L-I-K, i didn't think anyone was reading these posts and that i have been talking to myself. I no longer keep a record of my bets, per se; my deposit and withdrawal record over any given period tells me all i need to know :-) Though by putting my WC bets on here, anyone can see whether or not i am having any success.

Qualified for a free £5 bet with WH, yesterday, so, with my Spain bet still undecided (waiting for teams news), i'm using it on today's evening kick off;

Croatia 2-1 @ 17/2 for a possible return of £42.50
Just having a little look myself here Ken. Perhaps have a correct score punt. Spain 2-1 is 8/1, 3-1 is 14-1. Croatia 2-1 is 9/1, and 3-1 is 20/1. Have a ponder. Might do the 4 singles and the 4 doubles. Bet 365. I also have a free £5.00 bet with them to use. Perhaps do the two 2-1 scores to a £1 and the other 6 bets to 50p.
