Best players on the park were Donovan (USA) and Howard (USA GK) which shows that England did have a good few strikes at goal.
Need to dull down the hype it has to affect the players.

1rovert, You obviously didn't see the whole game? Or, this is the only time you watch football? Heskey started because he and Rooney work very well together and Heskey is the best provider we have. Without him we would have lost 1-0. Crouch is a good striker but, if he and Rooney started together trust me we would have lost 1-0. A striker can only put away what he recieve., Heskey or Crouch? I'll take Heskey anyday

America, the team who ended Spains very long unbeaten run when they defeated them in the Confederations cup. America, the team who led Brazil 2-0 in the final of the same competition which , yes they did lose in the end. You mean THAT America? or do you mean another America, who aren't very good at all?

I'm completely disillusioned, having watched England play both Rugby Union (v Australia), and Football (v USA) today.

In my view, we are miles below the standards of the top teams in both disciplines!
