Is it just me or is anybody else fed up with ITV assuming that everyone is a football fanatic, it seems like every other week normal programmes are scrapped for the spectacle of watching 22 overpaid spoilt brats kicking a bladder full of wind around a field.
The government granted a licence to ITV for multiple channels, they should be forced to
use them by making one a dedicated sports channel like Sky has done, and before anybody say's that this post should be in media & tv, I know but I just wanted a good ole
moan about it GRrrrrrr. Wake up ITV!!!
This crops up every time a sporting event (not just football) moves somebody's favourite programme. Get over it. Terrestrial TV is for everyone and many millions enjoy the sports without having to go to SKY.
Football may be their normal programming, but that is not what I asked with the granting of multi channels they should be forced to make one a dedicated sports channel, that way it keeps everbody happy, Simples.
I agree with you Chris although I am a bit-ov-a footy fan. I'll watch an England game or a Westham game.
Its only the begining of the season too so will be getting a lot more disruptions too.
I get miffed because its always Corrie they chuck out. You're right Chris they could just as easily put it on ITV2 - ITV3 -4
I too feel like a moan I'm in a moaning mood today because my house is a tip being as i've got the decorators in and everything has been moved somewhere else and I can't get to anything and - - and - - - Grrr! - I think I'll go out.
we have to suffer soaps and the rest of the garbage they serve up on the tv 52 weeks of the year...so dont whinge if us footie fans have a few hours of coverage every now and again..
The excitement of the European games have been diluted with the "Champions" league. Spurs, Man U and Arsenal are in it and they were not the Champions! It's become boring and predictable (like the Premiership). Any neutrals care that Chelsea and Arsenal won last night? My point exactly.
ITV have virtually no other sport on their channel and, since a lot of people like sport and football in particular, they are right in showing matches as part of their regular line-up of programmes.
