With all the troubles in the world and the UK cutbacks, with all the heartache people are suffering. I find the money that is frittered easily on men who kick a bag of air around for a living, to be obcene. The sooner ordinary people who work hard to make ends meet boycott these "games" the better

shall we boycott the TV too, 'cus these earn massive pay packets for sitting there talking, at least footballers have a talent. Of course the amounts they earn are ridiculous but they take what they're offered, much of it, for Chelsea and Man City for example, is Russian or Arab oil money. Ticket prices are far too high, but people pay those prices so the clubs as businesses charge what they can. Football is a massive source of entertainment for billions all over the planet which is why clubs are now big businesses, and just like Hollywood movies, their stars get paid stupid amounts for pulling in the crowds.
I think a lot of people pick football out because it's so in our faces, but it's not the only industry that works with such silly figures!

I doubt many would feel they were overpaid, if it were themselves who were living the jet-set lifestyle. Good luck to them. I wish I'd learned to kick a ball about a bit better at school.
