For all you missing your Footie fix I can recommend the All Ireland Hurling Final from Croke Park. Galway play Waterford, and if it is anything like previous finals it will be manic. These lads go at it hammer and tongs. I remember one year a player called Walter Wall playing and he was a star.

Did you watch the minor match, Galway v Cork, Togo?
Question Author
Just remembered, the year Walter Wall was playing there was a player called Rory Lyons on the pitch as well. I was on my knees laughing at the commentary.
Question Author
Yes Ellie I thoroughly enjoy it. I can watch most sports especially when they are as competitive as this. I am laughing now at the phrase "It is Walter Wall with Rory Lyons".
I'm curious to know what year you watched when Walter Wall and Rory Lyons played, their unknown GAA stars to me and what Counties were playing that year, I'm in packed GAA supporters club now waiting on the big game with the Deise v Gaillimh, no one's heard of either star you mention, there is a Walter Walsh though is a GAA All Star
For WBM if he's watching Deise Abú!!

Mick and Tommy Lyons - Gaelic Football
Tommy and Tim - Hurling

Getting my seat!! Sláinte
Walter Walsh played with KK
Togo and ducksie, what was your opinion on the disallowed goal?
Good call, it was in the box but the Cork lad went and fouled the goalie - he smashed into him

Right- big games about to start

Chat later ;)
Question Author
Don't want to upset anyone but I just found myself shouting goal for the Waterford Boys. So Waterford it is that have my neutral "support".
Walter Wall did fitted carpets ;-)
Question Author
Didn't ignore you Ellie. You will gather that I am in no way qualified to make judgement calls when it comes to the "rules"[are there any :))] of this game. So I will agree with Ducksie. Just remembered as well that Waterford do indeed have a tie in with my home City. Waterford Crystal and all that.
Togo, Elliemay, hope ye enjoyed that, sorry your neutral Waterford lost by 3 points ;( but whoopwhooo the tribesmen - a great game. Boaty will be way impressed you supported his home town :)
Question Author
Yes Ducks, well done Galway. Didn't know that about Boaty. But a great spectacle. Proper "lads" them players. Can't understand a word of the interviews mind. Lol. Enjoyed that.
Ah togo, one of your better posts, loved the game, yes, Boaty is a Deise boy ;) it's the highlight of my sporting-spectator calender - the interviews are fab (funny if you don't get the language haha ) our county lost this year but still love the game with a passion - ooh the west's awake
What a fantastic game!Delighted for Galway
Same here, it was brilliant, I'm so hoarse as I thought waterford were coming back there in the last few minutes - only 3 points between, that was some game, they were two great teams
Agree, both brilliant teams.
