Not a great deal to get excited about apart from the football today. Not a fan of the contrived races on at Ascot despite good prize money on offer. I have however had to put one runner in from the meeting, and had a look elsewhere for a bit of value. Minimum stakes again today then.

Ditto the Shergar Cup, Togo. We don't know enough about the overseas riders to be confident enough to part with our hard earned. But, and there's always a but, with 10 runners per race, we are guaranteed 3rd place for our e.w. bets. And, with no less than 57 non runners across the country, with possibly more to come, those races are in short supply. Not had a proper look just yet - spent the last 15 mins crossing those 57 off in my paper - so i'll post my selections later. As usual, best of luck :-)
