Morning punters, a grey day up here so a couple of winners would go a long way to brightening it up. Some cracking races again, but some of the fields are not conducive to a flutter for a low stakes punter and some of the races have a raft of non-runners. After a bit of bobbing and weaving I have made my choices.
Mubtasim @12/1 2.45 Ascot
Gossiping @ 16/1 3.15 Kempton
Hochfeld @5/1 3.35 Haydock
First Eleven @4/1 3.55 Ascot
£1.00 E/W Acca. 4 X 20p E/W Trebles. 6 X 20p E/W Doubles. £6.00 Total Stake. Could return £8.5k.

Convinced that Haydock has such a poor drainage system that you only have to spit twice before it's declared 'heavy going'. Feel sorry for anyone whose planned a day out there today, hoping to see some big fields. Just hope there's a decent card at Donny next Sat as the lad is taking me up to the Leger meeting. So, in the hope that i can glean some funds for the trip, here's my 'cobbled together' bet;
2.45 Asc; Rip Orff @ 13/2 enhanced place (7s for the win)
3.10 Thi; Regal Mirage @ 6/1
3.35 Hay; Bolder Bob @ 9/2
3.55 Asc; Berkshire Royal @ 7/1
20p lucky 15, £1 e.w. acca. 4 placed = approx £38, 4 winners = £3,190
And, of course, i'll be doing something with Kenny The Captain, winner of the 4.20 Thirsk last year.
Good luck, all

A pity Bolder Bob couldn't place but i did have one or two winners dotted about the cards. Nothing with the footy though and hoping that Kieren Trippier gets a couple of chances from free kicks tonight. 13/1 for an anytime goal so i'm in for a fiver.
Waiting for Destiny's Rock for a little double and poss e.w. treble, also a l15 at Wolverhampton - i'll watch first 2, then the footy, switching back to the ggs at the requisite time.
Glad to see you covered yourself, Togo.
Just hoping for a decent card and decent weather for next Sat. Town Moor is a lovely place but, when it rains, it's just as miserable as anywhere in the world.

Lol Judge. We tend not to get "judgemental" on here. I covered my last runner(see previous posts) and had cashed out after a late withdrawn horse. Fret not frugal Fred, I have not decided that scratch cards are a better option than a steady paid for over the years private pension. I spent £250 on two dinners for two at the Alba St Ives this week which, although very nice indeed, will not afford me as much entertainment as my sometimes treat to myself to over 12 months having a bit of fun on the gee gees whilst costing me about the same. Perhaps next time you can give us your considered opinion on the potential winners and a hint as to the massive investment you have made. Health warning this is a nuts, seeds and red meat consumption area. (^_*)
For Judge. "Cover". When the first part of a punt goes down but you still trust your original choice you just make sure that the last does not win leaving no return on the original flutter. Just like buying shares when they fall, after buying expecting them to rise, and getting a return on an original tickle with interest.
