Here we are again, the best NH meeting in the World bar non. Awful weather will not spoil the spectacle, a tough lot these NH lads and lassies. I have done the Placepot and Jackpot and put the first 4 runners in a little bet of their own. Will see how it pans out and whether I need to do a cover later. Have had a single bet in the 2.10 to qualify for the free bet in the 3.30.
Al Dancer @9/2 1.30
Hardline @5/1 2.10
Mister Whitaker @8/1 2.50
Laurina @10/3 3.30
Lady Buttons 4.10
Tower Bridge 4.50
£1.00 Win Acca. 4 X 40p Trebles. 6 X 40p Doubles.

Right, finished with a bit of a flourish on Saturday with a little sixfold acca on the football (had to wait until 82 mins before Suarez got his goal) which returned £327, then shared a £401 win on the Spanish Lottery with my daughter. Got another little acca up on Sunday to the tune of £120.80 and a couple of quid e.w. on Goodnight Charlie @ 14s. Obviously, in between the wins were a few losers, all roughly staked @ £5 but i ended the weekend roughly £560 up. Telling you this not to brag (ahem) but to explain why i may add to the following selections throughout the day thereby staking much more than usual today. I had saved a Cheltenham bank of £160 (4 x £40) but because of the good fortune, that has swelled. So, having crunched a lot of numbers and taken the promotions into account;
1.30; £5 free bet win on Angel's Breath @ 5/1 = £30 - WH
1.30; £5 win on Fakir D'oudaries @ 6/1 = £35 or stake returned - Sky

No winners here either, but the racing is as good as ever. Perhaps this wind will "blow" a bit of luck my way for tomorrow. Have had a quick shufti at tomorrows runners and it looks easy. :)) Have to have an early night mind. The wind is howling again and tomorrow is "recycle" day. Can't put the ruddy bins out or they will finish up in Liverpool and they collect at about 7AM. A glass of Aerstone Sea Cask has eased the pain somewhat.
Morning Panky and the best of luck. Good news that the Festival goes ahead. Listened to a guy on 'racingtv' yesterday who said that if it had been cancelled, the lost races would have been held on Saturday, which probably wouldn't have been fair on the scheduled meetings. Not looked yet but i could probably pick mine with a pin today and not do as badly as yesterday :-/
