Goodwood provides 4 of the races for an ITV7 which carries a jackpot of £100k. Two races from Yarmouth and one from Beverley make up the numbers.

Not for the first time, SkyBet have omitted a meeting from their scroll down menu. Attempting to place my usual £1 e.w. acca on my 7 selections, i find the 2 races from Yarmouth are not included? Weird!

I'll try again before the first race, though i expect it to be no different. In the meantime;

4.10 Good;  Lord Riddiford @ 8/1 - 5 places

5.20 Good;  Queen's Reign @ 8/1 - 5 places

5.55 Good;  Executive Decision @ 6/1 - 5 places

£1 Patent, £1.50 e.w. Treble (365) and £1 e.w. Treble (Sky). 3 placed = £35, 3 winners = £2,243.

And, being a big Queen fan, of course i've done the 'mug's' rev f/c in the 5.20 - Queen's Reign and Mercury Day😊

ITV7; Wadacre Gomez (e.w. single), High On Hope, Irv, Electrolyte (£2 win), Queen Of Good News, Kinross and Kyprios.

If i don't get any joy when i go back on Sky, i'll put the £1 e.w. acca on with 365, and lose the extra placings.

Best of luck, all

Sky and Paddy Power have been engaged in a bit of a media spat with the BHS for a while now Ken and have not "offered prices" on a couple of meetings from Yarmouth and Bath.

Question Author

Once again Goodwood provides 4 of the races for the ITV 7, 1st leg 1.50, with Redcar the supporting act.

Didn't stand a chance yesterday - 2 of my 3 Patent selections ended up as non-runnersπŸ˜’, and the other, a multiple course winner, ran as if it had fallen out with the track.

I will be getting sorted handy today. Dental appointment at noon and errands this afterwards to run.  Just get my ducks in a row and get back to you.

ITV7 split as per. ****E/W Acca, Win Trebles & Doubles. ###Win Treble. No heroics today. Good Luck.

French Duke  @4/1  1.50G*
Gold Star Hero  @7/2  2.05R*

Notable Speech  @5/2  3.35G#

Question Author

1.50 Good;  Attila The Honey @ 15/2

4.10 Good;  Power Of Destiny @ 11/4 - 4 places

4.25 Red;    Gunnerside @ 7/1 - 4 places

5.20 Good;  Metaverse @ 15/2 - 6 places

Win singles, 20p L15, 2 x £1 e.w. accas. 4 placed = £60, 4 winners = £5K.

ITV 7; Attila The Honey, Cape Sovereign, Jabaara*, Cognisance, Aesterius*, Elemental Eye & Henry Longfellow*. £1 e.w. acca.

* denotes Trixie/Treble for a poss £103.

Looked at the evening meets and the only race that attracts my attention is the 8.30 at Sandown in which i have done a reverse forecast with Monk's Mead and Hello Cotai.

Best of luck, all.

Bloody good arrers, today, Togo. You should make dental appointments more often πŸ˜‰

That was a nice surprise when I got in. 5 winners and 2 placed from the ITV7 plus a very cheeky win treble payed me just shy of £400 in total. Tax free as well. πŸ΄πŸ€—

Just been watching the races on SL. Good job I was not watching Notable Speech in the 3.35. I would have been shouting my whatsits off. Lovely horse brilliantly ridden by Buick. Won it in 4 strides and went hands and heels to finish easily in a class race.

On handy again and off out whilst the good weather holds. Wouldnt mind some more of yesterdays fortune. I hadn't realised that I had a "first past the post" winner and 2 extra place results all thrown into the mix until I had another look. Then I got increased odds for the bog offers. Haha. Having said that why are we at Galway, one race being a beginners chase, on the 1st of August? It can't be right when there are good handicaps being run in the UK. I would love to know the reasoning. ****E/W Acca, Trebles & Doubles. ###Win Trixie. Good Luck.

You've frightened them off, Togo. They know you don't spend much time on Irish racing, so they've thrown a couple in just to thwart your attempts at repeating yesterday's success. πŸ˜‰

Been a bit busy today and just having my first look at the cards.

Saving most of my 'powder' for tonight's Racing League meeting at Wolverhampton.

1.50 Good;  Midnight Gun @ 4/1 - 4 places

4.20 Not;    Pledge Of Honour @ 11/4 - 4 places

5.55 Good;  Westridge @ 11/2 - 5 places

20p L15, 2 x £1 e.w. accas. 4 placed = £30, 4 winners = £2,496.

ITV 7; Midnight Gunner, Stuzzikini, Billboard Star, Sir Bolton, Jan Breughel*, Independent Expert and Elmalka. £1 e.w. acca.

Best of luck, all.

Question Author

Alongside the four races from Goodwood (1st leg 1.50), there are 2 from Southwell and 1 from Newcastle.

Fared quite well at last night's 'Racing League' meeting at Wolverhampton with 2 winners - Thunder Blue (Saffie) @ 13/2 & Lady Al Daar @ 10/1 - and 2 placed - Danzan 4th @ 12/1 & Noodle Mission (Saffie) 2nd @ 9/2. Did the usual main bet with 4 x £2 wins and received just over £135.

Hoping - but not expecting - more of the same good fortune today.

Question Author

1.50 Good;  Super Superjack @ 11/2 - 7 places

3.00 Good; Blue For You @ 13/2 - 6 places

5.35 N'c;   Saisons D'or @ 22/1 - 4 places

ITV 7; above qualifiers, plus; Poetic Jack, Task Force*, Hajara, Northern Ticker and Big Evs*. £1 e.w. acca.

Question Author

I'll be glad when Goodwood is done and dusted for another year - yes, i know i don't have to get involved, but the challenge is always too tempting. The nearest i've come to backing a winner are my 2 non-runners on day one! Par for the course - literally.

And i believe that next Saturday is 'that there' Shergar Cup  thingummyjig. Can't wait πŸ™ƒ

Today's supporting acts to the 4 Goodwood races come from Doncaster (2) and HQ (1).

Question Author

Main bet to come later. In the meantime;

2.25 Good;  True Legend @ 7/1 - 5 places

3.35 Good;  Billyjoh @ 7/1 - 8 places

4.10 Good;  Mission To Moon @ 7/2 - 4 places

50p Patent, 2 x £1 e.w. Trebles. 3 placed = £17, 3 winners = £715.

ITV 7; above qualifiers, plus; Aimeric*, Magic Mild*, Pirhana Rama*, Ingleby Archie and Free Wind. Omitted P Rama from the £1 e.w. acca.

* denotes Trixie/Treble for a poss £127.

Also done an e.w. punt on Get It in the 3.35 @ 50/1 to 8 places with Sky. 365 go 66/1 but just 6 places.

And, whilst also sticking a couple of quid on Classy Clarets @ 10/1 in the 2.50 Don, despite putting Ingleby Archie up as my selection for the '7', i have done the 'mug's double' in that race. Back in the day, a guy called Ray Ingleby attempted to buy Burnley FC, but failed. A year later, he bought £1M worth of shares and became vice-chairman. So i just had to stick the two together. As you do.

Best of luck, all.

Lovely day here again despite weather predicting otherwise. Off out for a spell soon so on handy. ITV7 done and a couple of tentative flutters. Nothing too ambitious. *****E/W Acca, Win 4 timers and Trebles.###E/W Trixie. Good Luck
