That's very sad.
never knew him as a boxer but being an 80's child he was a well know tv celebrity who came across as a lovely bloke on tv game shows
I've just seen it. I was never a boxing fan, but you didn't have to be to like this guy. RIP.
A man and a gentleman, through and through.
Any man who could knock Ali to the canvas was someone special if you ask me!
Very sad!.........not a fan of boxing, I I always really liked him!............RIP...........

We were glued to the radio during his fights and really thought he had done it when Cassius Clay aka Mohammed Ali went down. Remembered fondly.
I saw your post, Cazz, as soon as it came up but (as I've never been a boxing fan)i decided not to contribute to this thread. However I've changed my mind and come back here to describe HC as a 'true gentleman'. I note that those words (or something similar) have already used by WelshYorkie, AYG, Mamya, Arti & ClassyLady.

Isn't it strange how most people would probably find it hard to define exactly what makes a 'true gentleman' but everyone seems to know one when they encounter him?
