Hmmm.
Big club with private ownership, celebrity-obsessed players and an arrogant manager who expects to get everything his own way, gets beaten by a community-owned club with players who're more interested in developing their skills than getting their pictures in the newspapers. Am I happy? Of course I am!
To be fair, it was a much better game than I was expecting. Probably one of the best I have seen this season.
Man U are not that far off having a similar side if Fergie wants to go that way. He has good a good deal on a class 'keeper to replace van der Saar.
Well said buenchico, sums it all up different story when playing outside the Premier League thats when real football takes place. Now Digs can of to Dubai according to the papers to save his marriage after what has been called a "fling"
Well done to Barca
They are sublime and I agree it was a lovely touch to let Abidel receive the cup
I look forward to meeting them again next year in the final again
Out played, out classed, and over here (up). Well done to Barcelona they well deserved it, being the second best club in European football isn't too bad of an accolade.
Sir Alex has to improve the squad for next season I think he's allowed to spend on players this summer. Even though United supporters are still paying the Bl**dy Glaziers debts.
English Premier League is probably one of the most consistently competitive and entertaining competitions but, as has been shown, it is not often the best.
I think it's difficult for me at least to judge as I only see the other euro teams in the champs league and very occasionally on sky but I would have to say that I have never heard the assertion that another league is superior to the prem
Just as I have not heard anyone say that this Barca team is not the or one of the best teams ever
maybe if man utd had scored about 3 goals in the first 8 mins, things would´ve been different. cuz that when they had their spell of dominance.
Dont 4get Ronneys spectacular goal.
<<<Man U are not that far off having a similar side if Fergie wants to go that way. >>>
I have to disagree in that the match really was....one sided. We have seen "cart horses" play "thoroughbred race horses "men against boys"...... not one of the Man,Utd team would have got into the Barcelona side and that includes Rooney.
Man Utd "oldies" are too old and the youngsters are still, just that youngsters.
Tho old "long ball into the penalty area" against short quick passing with movement.
