It's an opportunity to actually go there next year, but have you seen the price of the tickets? A dream but not quite sure if it's worth it...

I think it's too late now, anyone - the tickets had to be bid for several months ago. I wouldn't go - if it interested me, you'll get a better view on the TV anyway.
I will be watching as much as I can on the TV coccinelle as even if Tickets were available I could not afford them.
Who is to be carrying the Olympic torch to the final destination? Would it be an athlete, or can it be one of us members of the public? I would like to do this honour, can I apply for the role soon?

Tickets are still on sale on their site. Mind you at a price... I've always wanted to go to the olympics at least once in my life but like I say is it worth it? I don't think athletics is unless you've got a seat on the finishing line (and the price!!) and I agree that you see more on TV; will probably do that, buy myself a good TV screen and watch it from the comfort of my armchair...
Dislike London and trying to travel across it. Hate crowds. Love watching sport. Just me and the TV for the Olympics. Memo to self: Get aerial checked well in advance. Stock up on snacks and a few choice bottles.
I shall follow the events that interest me on the TV. Apart from the tickets I guess that accommodation will be at a premium.

So I don't think many ABers will be there...!!!! By the way not all competitions are in London.some are in places like Essex etc all depends on the event.
Euro 2012 for me ...

To see England win?
No, and the ticket prices and the method of distribution
quite frankly were the reason.
To see N. Ireland beat Russia 8-0 in the final :-)
I for one won't be going or watching. My personal opinion on the whole 2 week fiasco is that we as a country cannot afford it and should not have been allowed it. I think as its "home" is from Greece it should be staged there all the time but that is my own very personal take on it.
Do you think Greece could afford to stage it every four years?? lol

Seriously I won't be going but that's partly because Euro 2012 will do me, but it's fantastic that London is staging it.
Why is it a "fiasco"?
Doesn't matter to me if Greece can't afford it, we can't afford it either but stupidly we take anything on in this country!
not me
I wouldn't go if I got tickets for free
I think we certainly can afford it. And a lot of the money comes from sponsorship.
That's what I like about Britain, the positive, "can do" spirit.

Thank God Blatter's corrupt crowd stopped England getting the World Cup, eh?

Why is that sandyroe?
It doesn't look as if it's very popular...
I have no interest in sport. Tickets would be wasted on me.
