I'm not going, but I'm sure it will be spectacular in many ways.
hope you take your own food and drink as you are going to be ripped off big time!!
have a great time!

Im taking my own food but cant take liquids, Im used to that as other counties dont let you take drinks in either
I can't get excited about paying to watch a cycling road race and hope you have chosen an event worth paying for.

Im going to a few Athletics which is my passion, basketball and volleyball
Football, hockey, weightlifting, rhythmic gymnastics, and athletics (which is at 10 am on 8th of August; no idea what athletics that is!).

A varied selection, if nothing else ! I chose lesser sports because I like all sport and it will be interesting to see top class performers in sports which I'd never see live otherwise. Only got a few of them; no fencing or canoeing, for example.
fred you dont want my mens downhill canoeing slalom tickets do you?
As regards the drink take a cup and fill it up with the tap in the toilet to save money. By tghe way i take a solid metal flask to football which is allowed but a plastic bottle is not
We're seeing some rowing, can't wait, don't care what all the cynics say and that's not just because we got tickets, we'll watch the rest on TV. We were surprised not to get tickets for the x-country part of the eventing as it's in Greenwich Park and we thought there's be loads of room!
Question Author
You can take in empty bottles as they are having water fountains in the stadiums/arenas so shouldnt be to bad.
Bednobs I would buy your canoeing tickets if you dont want them?
I want to see as much as possible.
Zebo I agree I will be watching as much as possible on TV (im even taking a pocket tv with me)
I applied for 13 events (just one ticket for each), 3 day eventing, rowing and athletics, and got one ticket which is for the first evening of athletics. Was lucky enough to go to the test event for the 3 day event, which was brilliant, and everyone I spoke to there had applied to tickets for the real thing, and not one had got any. Was surprised not to get any tickets for the morning sessions of athletics which are not medal sessions.
Am very much looking forward to going (and seeing Jess Ennis again)

I applied for every athletics session and got one, My mam did and she got one so did my brother and 3 friends we all applied for 6 tickets and luckily we all got different days so ended up with 6 athletics sessions and then friends of ours had extra basketball and volleyball tickets so I think we have been VERY lucky. We see the end of the Heptathlon so finger crossed for Jess. Saw her win in Berlin and Barcelona
Question Author
not sure the 10:45 500m is correct as there isnt a 500m
I'm going Louise and can't worry a hoot about £1.60 for a bottle of water or £2.20 for a coffee. That's no more than the prices charged at other events. Looking forward to it and pleased to be one of the lucky ones.
Question Author
Maidup when I read the prices I thought they weren't bad I mean how much is a coffee from Starbucks? £3? and there is water coolers in the stadiums free,I have never experienced that anywhere and have been to alot of world or european champs and commonwelth games
Paralympics for me and a friend. We worked with special needs children and love to see what can be achieved.
Question Author
The Paralympics will be amazing as well, wish i could have had time off to go to both

Question Author
