Having been a member of this site for many years....this may be suicidal!

But.... why!

Why do others have to be so rude and un-believing of others? Now don't get me wrong, I have seen the trolls come and go and try my damnedest not to feed them, but sometimes I see answers on here that make my blood boil!

We were all 'green' once [remember that phase?] and to see legitimate first posters berated and belittled is... well just sad in my opinion.
I have found comfort at my lowest times on this site, but if you don't like a post don't answer it....move on! Same if you don't believe it!

This site used to be so friendly to newcomers but now it's a wonder there are any new members.
What happened?

Awwww Lisa, just carry on being you ...that is all you can do . Every so often a user is more flippant than usual ...we just carry on regardless.

divegirl..... I agree with you. Why do people have to be so nasty to each other? It is apparently "human nature" well it's not mine! I had been on here for a few years but then left. Couldn't remember my password when I wanted to come back and so made up a completely new name. Everyone thought I was a troll!!!! So....I signed up again but with a very similar name to before and everything has been just fine :-)

Oh I do Flump, but I just see more and more of this of late and it make me wonder what the 'bleep' is going on! Some people are obviously never happy unless they are hurting others! Just makes me wonder what is wrong in their lives :0/

lol... totally the opposite noteef. I had an experience today that has made me very emotional... just want to understand why the nastiness! I did 'paddy' earlier...but my kids soon put a stop to that!

In the past, it helped me so much, that I would probably have topped myself without it. When my dad died, I was distraught for reasons I won't go into, and so many people on here were here for me. They gave me so much comfort. Despite the trolls, this is a good place to be. Don't let the minority get you down divegirl xx

Agree divegirl and also wonder why many posts in ordinary topics are treated like Chatterbank posts. I love Chatterbank and everyone there, good or bad. But I'm often frustrated when reasonable questions in various topics, from either new comers or irregular ABers are very slightly hyjacked to say the least.

This is a Q&A site and some forget that! So many people must find us after typing in a random question! I know I did, and then what? They have to 'pass' the berating and judgement of long standing members! Just so wrong!

Divegirl, you have it in one, I have been criticized for my spelling, I can stand it, I have been criticized by my tone, I can stand it, I was brought up to call a spade a spade, that's me, a lot on here can give it, but can not take it, you'll see. you put a question on, some will mock it, that's shows their intelligence, it does not take a lot to answer a decent questions does it? there are some on here that think they own the site, far from it, there are some on here that think the site can not run without them, but they can think, there are some who monitor the posts & if its not to their liking, the post gets pulled, after all, if the posters did not post, there would be no point in posting as the site would not be as successful as it is. do what a lot do when things gets bad or heated " Switch Off" its as easy as that.
