The four football clubs in the U.K with no place names incorperated?

Hi everyone,a friend mentioned yesterday that back in the 80's there was a quiz question doing the rounds about 'which were the only 4 clubs in England and Scotland which didn't have a place name in the title i.e Leeds,Manchester,Sheffield.
Is this still the case? He was a publican in Liverpool at the time and by the time the quiz got going the last thing he wanted to know was that!! By the way he's very good with his memory so it would be nice to get one up!!

QPR were so named apparently because most of their players came from Queen's Park. If you're going to include Port Vale then I do think you have to include Arsenal too and Crystal Palace. All of these were named after 'places' but not cities, town or districts. The whole thing is a very grey area

Albion Rovers - Stirling

Albion Rovers are not from Stirling, they are from Buckfast central in Coatbridge.

Leyton Orient would have certainly fitted the bill in the days when they were plain 'Orient' (named after a shipping company, not the entire Eastern Hemisphere!)

There may have been 'dancing in the streets of Raith' according to a commentator, but there is no Raith. It's the Kirkcaldy Team.

Two interesting ones from the Irish League would be Crusaders and third-tier outfit Chimney Corner, who are named, indirectly at least, after a book title

Perhaps, but they left Shawfield in Glasgow a good few years agao and decamped to the council owned stadium in Cumbernauld, although I think they are closer to Croy, neither of which are in Glasgow.

Good call with Crusaders, my local team after I bought my first house, and many a happy afternoon was spent there. I didn't realise Chimney Corner came from a book title - were they there before the eponymous hotel?
