I'm probably getting confuddled with another darter who might have been ill, there has been quite a few who haven't taken darts up again. Andy Fordham being one.

As much as I respect Taylor's achievements, I'm hoping Barney thrashes him.

ahhh....darts. the new year sport highlight. i spent my younger life in pubs and clubs all over gloucestershire and the west country watching my mum and dad play darts and skittles. they are rather good. i have to go upstairs to watch it, though as mr kicker is allergic to sport (!) x

I just find it fascinating. Compared to other so called sports, the margin for error is so tiny, its actually incredibly difficult.

my mum was excellent at darts.....she has loads of trophies all over the place and was gutted when she had to give it up due to a shoulder injury. the one thing she did which made me really giggle was her entering a fishing competition as my dad was already there and she was bored. they didn't have men's or ladies' categories......and she went on to win the competition with the biggest fish i've ever seen in my life! he was grumpy afterwards for a good few days (i think he was rather embarrassed, bless him!) x
