Sniff sniff....dont make me cry Andy - WELL DONE
Yes, thanks for the company everyone x
Great win. I wasn't with you all while the match was on, but I'm thrilled with the win.
Might as well stay up for Usain Bolt's final now. I have to go to work tomorrow, so I'll be knackered again, having stayed up to watch Jess, Greg and Mo last night, but it'll be worth it.
deary me, he doesn't do anything the easy way, does he. (Well, it looks easy to me.)
So proud of andy :-) ,could they not have taken some down time minutes from the athletics to show his gold medal ceremony!!
I don't think the medal ceremony would have occurred then, would it? They'd have to get the bronze medallist in as well.

What a performance. I suppose in the annals of tennis history Murray will always be behind Djokovic, Nadal and Federer overall but this is one record none of them is ever going to share. Great work Andy.

Hope he can take this 18-match winning streak even further now!
They couldn't not have the medal in front of the crowd though? I remember andy's gold the 1st time,.....totally on the court at the time and he was in tears!
Yep, he is amazing.
I think he might even win the Grand Slam and become world number 1 at dome time.
^^some, not dome.
Woop, woop, woop - couldn't watch the match and just heard the result. Go on my son - you showed everyone what you are made of and I am so proud of you.
I know some people - including me at one time - have said that tennis shouldn't be in the Olympics because it's not the pinnacle of the sport, but you could see how much the win meant to Murray, and to Rafa in the doubles.

sooooooo disappointed I didn't stay up to the end - I simply couldn't keep my eyes open after a very long hard day stewarding at a horse show - I can see from the posts on here is was a nail biting affair and well done all who managed to stay up as it provided quitters like me with an idea of the match -brilliant on you Andy and what an athlete - dug deeper than ever for this win I imagine and thoroughly deserved.
All credit to a very brave and worthy opponent too - what a fight!
They did have the medal ceremony in front of the crowd. I watched it on the red button channel dedicated to the tennis.
