The International break is over & the 1st kick-off at the weekend is 12:30 on Saturday 9th, which is also when the **free transfer period ends** - don't leave it too late!

//Morning all. Hostilities are about to recommence, so a bit of thinking and planning required today. I have deliberately not spent any time this week agonizing over transfers, free or not. Didn't see the point of picking players that were going to be injured in the Internationals or locked up for drink driving and the like. So this morning and later on I will be scouring the football gossip sites and keeping a weather eye on the injuries lists. Strange weekend of fixtures, it has fallen so that some people, myself included,may be struggling for Sunday captains. So I may address that issue before the window closes, or I will have to use transfer options Sun. morning that deplete my resources. Yes, I am much the same - I feel that as soon as I change my team, the original ones will score.
Finding a captain for Sunday and Monday will also require more transfers - will it be worth it ?

Hi all, well Trident Dribblers isn't looking too bad apart from a shabby defence, but Team B... Hugo-Mugget! is languishing down with L.I.K and the like... so some much needed changes already ;-)

As For Sunday and Monday Captains, nope none for me but not worth bothering with for my teams.

Well the die is cast. I did a few "changes" in the end. I have opted to have a captain available for all 3 days for this weekend. 3 captains who are supposed to be certain starters and points scorers. We will see. The upshot is that I now have a bit of loot left in the kitty so that if changes become necessary I am not hamstrung by insufficient stretch in the available funds for both teams. Nearly £3million in both. I have also adjusted my teams so that a certain match today does not clash with head and heart.(Arks knows of what I speak)

Afternoon all - I managed to remember to get in & take advantage of some free transfers, now to watch them crash & burn - probably. Maybe. Meh.

On Captains for Sunday & Monday - I've one for each day, one already picked & a transfer happened to place the other.

Lol @ Lie In. I have managed to recover funds of £3.6m & £2.6m and in that case so do I. Be that "pub" in Miami or somewhere though.

Well that was a stroke of untypical fortune. I took Mane out of one of my teams this morning, and he has just been red carded.It usually happens the other way round. I put em in the ref takes em out. Hope Moreas is ok. He was carried off on a stretcher.

Phew Arks that was some game. No cards either, which is a rarity these days. I need a lie down now.

When I put I hope Moreas is OK. It was because the Sky FF live commentary script named the injured player as Moreas. I was watching the game with the sound down. I worked my magic once again. Put in what looked like reliable defenders from a well known "defensive" team and they let in 3 goals for the first time in ages.
