Morning,,,,,,rain,rain,rain. If the conditions that we have had in the last 24hrs had been repeated across the country there would have been no racing. It all looks ok though so have a little bit of e/w fun today. I notice that R. Becket's stable has been going well this last few weeks, including an across the card treble yesterday. It is also noticeable that the NH prize money has taken a bit of a rise this weekend heralding the new season getting serious. I have listed my 4 in the usual punt and am looking at Vis A Vis and Uber Cool in the Cesarewitch slog latter. Enhanced place odds are taken where available.

Afternoon, Togo. Bit later than usual as i've been expecting more non-runners to be announced on account of the high winds, etc. The big race apart, most of the 'interesting' action is taking place up at York where, naturally, the going has changed to soft. So i've chosen 4 that will (hopefully) appreciate the underfoot conditions. You will no doubt notice that they all begin with the letter 'A'. Believe it or not, this is pure coincidence - the first 3 have achieved their best rating on soft going while the 4th has done so on GS.

As for the Ces, i was going to do 2 each way but when going for my first choice, i noticed that 365 are pying 6 places, then 7 at reduced odds. So i've stuck with Couer De Lion and split my fiver thus;

£1.50 e.w. @ 66/1 = £26.25 for a place (6), £126.75 for a win
£1 e.w. @ 50/1 = £13.50 for a place (7), £64.50 for a win.

Ahh well no cigar this end Ken. Bit of E/W back and Kimberella covered E/W to keep it respectable. One of my brothers had Major Jumbo doubled with Low Sun for a nice £385 return. Perhaps I should post his selections. Haha.

Least you had some sort of return, mate. I lost out on the nags but when doing my Sat football acca, i always choose a BTTS & Result to boost the odds. And, if it's 3/1 or above, i throw a fiver at it. Today's BTTS was Portsmouth away at Wimbledon @ 9/2 (returned £27.50). Having placed the bet with 365, i then got an email from PP saying, as they hadn't 'seen' me for a while, they were offering me a matched free bet up to £5. So i put a fiver on Pompey to win 2-1 @ 17/2, resisted the minor temptation to cash out @ £29.98 with about 10 mins left, then collected £47.50 at the final whistle. As i always say, Togo, swings and roundabouts:-) Have thrown the free £5 bet at Germany to win 2-1 @ 15/2.

Good enough Ken. Rarely do football bets these days. I seem to put the pepper on whoever I pick, but have a bit of joy when the R.U internationals get going. Did we see a Cheltenham Festival winner today in the Cesarawitch?

Do you mean the winner, Togo. I was interested to hear what Ruby said before the race; "If this was over jumps, i'd be on Limini all day long." True, it died a death 2f from home and finished a remote 19th and i wonder if Ruby will change his mind as to which is the better jumping prospect.
While i applaud Mullins for his 1-2, i do think it detracts from racing when trainers are allowed multiple entries. And if you're a follower of the stables that do so on a regular basis, you must sometimes be tearing your hair out in frustration, not knowing which one to lay your money on. I know Richard Fahey does it a lot, but it's very rare he has 7 runners in a race whereas, to the Irish based trainers - O'Brien, Mullins, Elliott, etc, the practice is second nature.
