I am needing a holiday with the kids so I am planning one with them at the start of August just before they go back to school but I cannot choose lol so can you help me choose:).

The choices I have at the minute are; Dublin, Majorca, Algarve; Canary Islands; Horse Racing in New Zealand and Disneyland Paris ;).

Feel free to suggest more ;).

For the kids, Disneyland Paris.
New Zealand or Dublin, eh?

Bit of a pong of dead salmon, anyone?
An awful lot depends on the ages of the children.
Disneyland Paris.

3, 5 and 8 Karl.
Would 'horse racing in New Zealand' be more for you than the children? Would they cope well with a flight of that length, would you have any qualms about them becoming bored, restless, cranky? I'd chose somewhere closer, say Majorca or the Algarve.
I assume you don't have a budget in mind if you're talking New Zealand!
Tell them you are taking them to Disneyland but then book Scarborough - that will teach them how to deal with disappointment.
Take them somewhere cold so they have to practice zipping up their coats.

Fair point neveracrossword, New Zealand off the list then :P.
for your age of children I would chose somewhere close to home. I would not take a 3 year old on a 24 hr+ flight, plus how appreciative are younger children going to be for the opportunity to go to some of the suggested places? mine would prefer a uk beach holiday I reckon
Have you asked the kids where they would like to go?
LOL. Rr and sher .
Algarve for a beach holiday.
Dublin...lol...are you planning on the sesh? Ireland is lovely but I wouldn't take a kid to Dublin as a holiday.
RockRose and Sherardk..........fabulous answers. LOL
Southport is ideal for children.
Have you had this dilemma annually in the eight years you have had your eldest and is there not a father to ask for input and choice also?
I was also wondering if their father has any say in the matter or maybe you are a single parent
In another post she mentioned the father hasn't been on the scene since the youngest was born.

In the tantrum thread she does mention 'us' and 'we'....so I don't know who she could be referring to.
