Four-Ball Handicap Calculation.
I'm new to golf. Say our four-ball is comprised of 12, 14, 16 and 18 handicappers and today the 12 and 14 will play the 16 and 18. How do you calculate shots 'given'?

So the 12 handicapper gives 2 shots to the 14 handicapper, 4 to the 16 and 6 to the 18. The holes these are taken on are given by the course scorecard; the lowest stroke index holes.
So for example on the stroke index 5 hole the 18 handicapper would get a shot and nobody else would. On the stroke index 1 hole, the 14, 16 and 18 handicappers would each get a shot.
