The own goal was going in the net anyway regardless of whether it made brief contact with the Danish player. Sterling definitely didn't dive. He was helped to fall and England were awarded a penalty. The better side rightfully won and its been a huge morale boost for our country. Well done, England. I'm prodigiously proud of you and will be right behind you this...

Us and the Gooners hate one another, but it's never them doing the gas chamber hiss whe they visit our place. Arsenal are the enemy, but they have more class than Chelski and Millwall fans.
And West Ham! Read the book 'congratulations you've just met the ICF'

Some people are not real football fans, football is an excuse for thuggery.
Sunk, depends what you mean by "manager". I'm not convinced that he's the best coach around, but he's a superb man-manager. He's got a group of players who kick hell out of each other week in week out, and forged them into a real united team. He's like Venables in that sense.
Ummm, yeah, the Inter City Firm were/are complete scum.
@23.58.Not really a joking matter,Mozz,unfortunately for their wives,girlfriends,children.
Im fairness, I thought your post was meant to be ironic, so I didn't take it seriously.
Your apologies accepted,Mozz.

Southgate is really lucky because we do have some really very good English players at the moment.
Not sure I agree about his man management skills.
Did you see Graelish’s face when he was substituted after about 15 minutes on the pitch. He was confused and not happy. Sancho was superb last match, dropped today. Kane has had one good match out of the last 5.
I agree that it did seem harsh on Grealish, but I do understand why he wanted to tighten things up at the back by bringing Trippier on. Sancho was good against Ukraine, but Saka was absolutely superb against Germany and only missed out because of injury last game. And Kane has four goals in three games, plus his pass to put Saka through just before the first goal was world class..
I thought it was really exciting. So glad England got through. (And I am Welsh). They played really well
ynnafymmi - is your space key broken?
Disappointed to see them win by an own goal and a penalty from a shocking dive. Not feeling particularly proud this evening.
England were deserving winners. They were by far the better side.

I nearly ate my own knuckles last night.
England were the better side, for sure, but they made hard work of it. Next up is those pesky, devious Italians, with all their diving and other antics they get up to. England never do any of that, do they? Nah. All the others do, but not our genuine boys. :o)
Do you want England to win on Sunday, Clarion?
Can't say I'm fussed either way - it's only a game, has no impact on my life.

It’s called pride in your country Barry and having something to celebrate, God knows we haven’t had over the last 16 months, so get swept along in the happiness of our country , you might even enjoy it :0)
my mate is Turkish but even he has said that he hopes England win, good man....
Bobbi, this is the definition of 'proud'
"feeling deep pleasure or satisfaction as a result of one's own achievements, qualities, or possessions or those of someone with whom one is closely associated."

As I have no close association with anyone in the England squad I am unable to feel proud that they won.
I'm very happy for the football supporters but it leaves me cold.
